Christel Mol Delleport Completes Rome Marathon
Rome, Italy (PRWeb) March 24, 2007 -- Christel Mol Dellepoort, a Dutch National, living and working in Bangkok, Thailand has successfully completed the Rome Marathon held last Sunday, March 18th. She completed the marathon with an official time of 3:47:17.
On the 14 of March 2007, Christel Mol Dellepoort and her husband Brad Mol arrived in Rome from their home in Bangkok, Thailand in order to participate in the Marathon on Sunday March 18th.
Christel trained many months for Rome. Part of that training included running the half marathon held in Khon Kaen, Thailand this past January. Her official time for the half marathon was 1:38:50 . Prior to this Cristel has run both the Khon Kaen full Marathon in January of 2006 with an official time of 3:43:44 and the Nagano (Japan) Marathon in April of 2005, her first, with an official time of 4:04:27.
Christel has been coached by American runner Jason Mayeroff, of the United States. Jason is also a Marathon Runner and won the Bangkok Marathon in 2002 with a time of 2:27:46. Jason also lives in Bangkok, Thailand.
With over 10,000 runners participating and many more spectators, Rome was an exciting place to be on Sunday. "The race was tough" says Christel who fell short of her target of 3:30:00 "but I was pleased to have participated and complete this historic and scenic course."
"The cobblestone streets were hard on the feet and a couple weeks of recovery will be needed", she added.
Christel and her husband Brad own and operate Business Mission Asia, a business consultancy firm based in Bangkok Thailand. Business Mission Asia is also the parent company of a few other businesses. The Biz X-Change, Innovasia Graphics and Maple Run Limited are all owned and operated by Business Mission Asia, which are headed by this couple.
Christel and Brad live part of the time in Bangkok and spend summer months at their lake side houses in Oakville, Ontario and at their ocean view home on Fripp Island, South Carolina.
